It all starts here: our manufacturing process allows us to achieve unparalleled quality control. Lindy Fralin’s P90 in a Humbucker Cover consists of a precision injection mold and USA-Made Steel Screws. We use USA-Made Alnico 4 magnets to make this model scream. Each bobbin is carefully inspected and cleaned before winding.
We wind each pickup by hand, one at a time using our proprietary “Sectioning” technique. This winding technique gives our pickups a sweet, clear tone. Finally, we wax-pot the pickup to and prevent microphonics and preserve the pickup for years to come.

Good afternoon- I'm looking for a p90 style pickup replacement for a Gibson custom shop es 335 '59 reissue. I'm wondering if you can make a recommendation on something that will fit without any body work and is best for a 50s/60s Chicago blues sort of tone. I find the stock pickup a bit on the "dark" side, particularly the Neck and don't love the middle position - not getting that nice "plucky" middle position tone currently. Any advice would be ...

Hey Chris, our stock output is modeled after the 50's era P90s, so we'd recommend trying out Stock output first. You'll be backed by a 30-day exchange policy, so if you need more power down the road, you can always exchange it. - Tyler
Greetings, will this pickup fit in the neck position of a les Paul studio with the hum cancelling option and if so what’s a good choice for clean and dirty tones in terms of specs when submitting the order as it will be paired with a PAF alnico 2 style bridge pickup, probably somewhere around the 8K output area, please advise, thanks

Hey Claude, this pickup will fit your neck position just fine. I recommend going with the +5% Overwind on this pickup if pairing with a humbucker in the bridge.
I have a 2019 Gibson ES-339 with Classic 57s. I like the sound of the bridge pickup, but the neck pickup can get a bit muddy for my tastes with even just a little bit of gain. How would you compare your P90 Humbuckers to the 57s? If I only replaced the neck pickup, would it pair well with the existing 57? I generally don’t play with a lot of gain, but sometimes it’s needed. I prefer more vintage tones. For example, my Strat is a 60s American ...

Hey Tom, humbuckers can get muddy due to the design of the humbucker itself. The P90 features a narrow magnetic field and thus provides a bit more clarity than a Humbucker. You can expect more definition in the wound strings, as well as a rounder treble string. If you were to purchase a single pickup, we recommend going with 2-Conductor Lead (for phasing problems), and a +5% Output to help balance the midrange.
Hi, I would like a pair of Humbucker-sized P90 pickups. I want them to be brighter than a humbucker, but also manageable hum as I will play with a fair bit of gain at times. How would you recommend I choose the style (Classic vs. Hum-canceling), and wind? Thanks!

Hey Brendan, I'd personally go with the Stock Output of our Hum Cancelling P90s - you'll get zero hum, but a cleaner tone that's pure p90.

Hey Robert, as it turns out, we do not make an F-Spaced Humbucker P90. That said, the 50mm string spacing might still work. Check out our article on the subject here: Here's how to measure String Spacing

HUM-CANCELLING P90-HUMBUCKER FAQS says “What’s the tonal difference between this and your Stock P90? The Hum-Cancelling P90 is slightly louder, darker, and thicker. It’s quicker to break up, and has no hum!” It is described. Also, in the FAQS of P90-HUMBUCKER, you write “What’s the tonal difference between the P90 In A Humbucker Cover and your Stock P90? Nothin’! These two pickups sound near identical.” That means that the differe...

Both our Hum Cancelling models will sound a touch thicker and darker than our Single Coil models, but they all sound incredibly similar. To answer your question, ask yourself if hum-canceling is important to you or not, as P90s do capture a good amount of hum. If you truly want to get closer to the sound of a single-coil P90 and want hum cancelling, the -5% is a great option.
I just asked a question about peter green mod on these p-90 – humbuckers. After a little reading of the website, perhaps the best question to ask is, what’s the best way to get the out-of-phase thing on a set of your 0-90 – Humbuckers, given that I have not yet placed an order. I will be using Gibson-type leads. Thank you! Bart
Q I just asked a question about peter green mod on these p-90 – humbuckers. After a little reading ...... Read moreA The best way to perform the mod is to have one pickup built with a 2-Conductor lead. This allows you to simply reverse Black & White and put that pickup out of phase. Then, you can reverse the pickup back if you don’t like it or decide to sell down the road.
I want to replace the neck humbucker (BurstBucker 1) with a humbucker size p90 and keep the BurstBucker 2 in the bridge of my les paul 60 reissue. Should I go with the standard winding or under wound so they will be balanced?
